Left Windorah this morning after a quiet night. Some pics of the caravan park and town.
Driving out of Windorah we spotted an interesting solar power station which helps power the town.
These giant parabolic reflectors are motor driven to track the sun during the day, focusing the sun's rays on the centre focal point. This concentrates the energy onto satellite quality photo voltaic cells to produce electricity. This setup is about 35% efficient versus 15% for flat panel solar arrays.
Our next little town to pass through is Jundah.
Followed by Stonehenge.
Exciting. Isn't it?
I thought I would show this twice.
Why should I be the only one bored out of my brain?
Finally arriving in Longreach. Found an old caravan park in the centre of town, booked in, big mistake, jammed in here like you wouldn't believe.
Too many grey nomads, euthanasia only answer.
The main job here is to get an oil change done on the car, this was done within 2 hours. Isn't it amazing what the promise of cash will do?
Can't wait to get out of here, more pics to follow at next update.
Wifi not always available.
Weather update, warming up now as we get further north, nights not so freezing. No rain in sight. We will probably camp somewhere north of Winton tomorrow night.

Ah, Dad, you have a way with words - I am enjoying reading your blog posts and will show them to Melissa tomorrow x
