Left Longreach this morning after spending the night at an overcrowded caravan park, almost camped on top of the toilet. Could not get away quickly enough.
Headed towards Winton with the weather warming up, only 180 kms today, a good road but a bit boring, so lets play road trains.

It passes the time.

Just before arriving in Winton, we came to a dinosaur display.
We called in, about 10 kms off the highway on a dirt road.
Some of us are easily amused.

We bought a few postcards and nick nacks from their shop, but did not do the tour.It would cost $60 for the two of us which is about our daily fuel use. I loath these tourist ripoffs.

Moving on into Winton a typical outback Queensland town.
Opalshops and some great outback pubs.

With an attractive water feature right in the middle of the main street.

Deciding to have an easy day we refuelled at $1.42 per litre and made camp 4 kms out of town at a spot called the Long Waterhole.
A free camp with no facilities, however we are self sufficient.
Not a bad campsite, it can take a lot of caravans. Photos tomorrow as I had a sleep this Afternoon.
