Today the manager/caretaker here at Meentheena Veteran's Retreat invited us out for the day in the Retreat's Troop Carrier on a guided tour.
We were shown some absolutely beautiful and pristine waterholes along with some valued metal detector information.
Our guide Terry is a font of local information.

 Aboriginal carvings and rock painting.

Tomorrow we leave here and head back to Port Hedland as we intend to take the long way round to avoid a dirt road badly cut up by road trains.
