As we are staying in Broome for a few days to have a look around and also get the car serviced, we set off this morning to nearby pearl farm called Willies Creek. A rough drive on a very badly corrugated and sandy road. First time we have engaged 4wd. Got out of the sand disengaged 4wd and all of a sudden we had very heavy steering. Drove back to Broome and checked PS fluid level and sure enough it was bone dry. Turned out a PS line had a connection which had vibrated loose, Retightened it and topped up fluid to correct level and all good again. As the car is being serviced tomorrow morning I will get the mechanic to check it out.
